NOTE:  Chuck, Cathy and their family have successfully operated this dairy farm for the past 43 years. The herd was established in 1948 by Cathy’s father and transitioned to Chuck and Cathy’s management in the mid 1970’s making their family the second and third generation to operate the farm. The Debilzen family is well known in the Parkers Prairie, MN area and are thought of as good friends and neighbors. Mid-American Auction Co. is very pleased to be selected to conduct the Debilzen family’s complete dairy herd dispersal. As is mentioned above, as a matter of convenience, comfort and logistics, Chuck and Cathy have rented the Central Livestock Facility at Albany, MN. Please note that only the Debilzen herd will we sold in this special dairy retirement auction, so please plan on prompt attendance. Trucking available. 168 Head of Outstanding Official DHIA Holstein Cattle

NOTE:  This is a very good herd of especially well uddered, high producing Holstein cattle. This herd represents 4 generations of genetics and breeding, developing this very good herd of home-raised, farm fresh herd replacements. This herd has been on test since the 1960’s with current official DHIA records indicating a herd average of 2X 24,000 lbs. milk, an excellent 3.92% 940 fat and 3.14% 753 protein. Current SCC 197,000; 75 pound tank average from beautiful udders. Several cows and heifers will sell just fresh or due soon after sale, making them timed perfect for buyers who need milk now. Cows are milked in a double 5 Herringbone parlor using automatic take-offs and housed in a free-stall facility. This herd has been artificially bred for 43 years with use of registered Holstein herd sires to bred heifers. AI sires include, but not limited to: Nominee, Gate Keeper, Accel-Reign, Tally-Ho, Apple Crisp, Real, and Accell-Force.
The herd has been on a very good herd health program through Dr. Kent Nelson and the Alexandria Vet Clinic. Vaccinations include: Express 10, J Vac, wormed and poured using Eprinex. Hooves trimmed regularly.
