* Nathan Margolis Sideboard *

Featuring Nathan Margolis sideboard of Hartford, Connecticut with original handwritten paper label. This sideboard was custom made for the consignor's Grandfather and Grandmother with the label dated Feb. 2 1918. The following information is from the Grandson:

My grandfather was James Biram, a prominent surgeon in Hartford and his wife was Alice Biram. She was born in the early 1880's and my mother wasn't born until the late 1920's. Since they were childless at that time, they could afford the nicer furniture. They lived on Elm St. in Hartford, in a cedar sided, two story house and also had a small farm on Bushy Hill Rd., in Granby, Conn.. This farmhouse is listed on the National Registry for Historical Places. The buffet was in their Hartford dining room as long as can remember.
