BUY A news release...

Memories are made of this!  How do you sell a memory?  This is an opportunity for A Touch of Class Auction and Appraisal Service as they offer ‘memories’ of the former Molson Park at a public auction to be held on site on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 11:00AM

To make way for the future Park Place Lifestyle Centre, North American (Park Place) Corporation wanted to give the greater Barrie area an opportunity to purchase items from the former Molson Park.

Terry Coughlin, Senior Managing Partner of Park Place said, “We realize that this property was the site for many memories, including concerts, events of many kinds and was seen as a vital part of Barrie and surrounding community.  People came from all over Ontario to take part in many activities.  We wanted to provide an opportunity for people to buy a memory.  From flagpoles to the picnic tables, we are selling it all!  Park Place will also become part of Barrie history and culture and we wanted to continue this tradition started so many years ago by Molson’s Park.”

The Van’s Warped Tour (House of Blues) was the final event at the park prior to this auction.  Park Place has chosen local auction company A Touch of Class owned by Barbara and Krista Richards and Shawn Gannaw to be the ‘performers’ at the final auction event.

When asked how you auction memories, President Barb Richards said, “We will sell one memory at a time – using the most powerful method in the world – Public Auction.  This is a must attend event!”  The public may go to www.atocauctions.com for more complete details of the auction, including listing, photos, terms and conditions of the auction.

Everyone is invited to attend this interesting auction event, prior to the gates being closed forever at the former Molson Park.  A new day will dawn with the opening of Park Place, with planned development in the fall of 2007. It is projected that it will take approximately 5 years to complete all three phases of the development. Park Place anticipates occupancy of phase 1 in the summer of 2009.
